7th - 12th grade teens are welcomed to participate in our in-person and online parish events that we create and host just for them. Their relationship with Jesus and this parish is at the center of everything we do together. Whether it’s a fun social outing like a nerf battle or movie night, a service opportunity, an encounter with prayer, or a discussion on life’s most important topics, teens will be able to grow in their faith and friendships.
Teens do not need to be Catholic to attend, and friends are always welcome.
Families that would like their teens to participate in our youth ministry events must register their teen(s).
Registration is free and can be found below.
Masks are required at all events, and social distancing will be applied when able to do so.
If Lucas county moves into a "Level Four" per the Ohio Public Health Advisory System, all in-person events will be cancelled, and any online options will be appropriately communicated if the need arises. Those attending in-person events are required to bring a mask with them, and when instructed wear masks and practice social distancing. Teens should not attend any in-person events if they are sick themselves, have a sick family member living with them, if families have reason to believe they’ve come into contact with someone who might have been sick, if a teen or teen’s family has participated in a mass gathering, or if they’ve come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 and/or is asymptomatic (shows no symptoms).

Director of Youth Faith Formation
Ryan leads our youth ministry efforts called SPH Young Church and co-leads confirmation preparation. He also aids the school with the spiritual direction and development of our students, and is active in many of the various aspects of our parish.
Originally from the state of Georgia, and blessed to have been raised in an amazing Catholic community, Ryan values the opportunity to pass on what was given to him. A family of faith, an understanding of belonging, and a love for Jesus and Catholicism. The opportunity to pass on these values to our teenage youth and their families is truly a blessing and a dream come true.
