Early Childhood Formation
We offer several opportunities for our youngest parishioners to grow their faith. We hope to see
our families take advantage of the many quality programs that we offer and list below.

PROGRAM: Sunday School/Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
Our Parish Sunday School Program is open to potty trained children ages 3-5. Sunday School runs during the 11:30AM Sunday Mass and you can register for the fall, winter or spring session as it fits for your schedule or you may register for all of the sessions!
This program meets the Religious Education requirement for our Kindergarten Children in our Religious Education Program. Children in our Parish School are also welcomed and encouraged to attend as it is a different presentation of the material than they receive in school.

Volunteers are needed for this important ministry. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Rachael.hunyor@toledostpats.org to discuss the possibility! All volunteers working with youth are required to complete the Diocesan Virtus Program and complete a background check. We are happy to help you through the process.

Information
Our Sunday School program is for children ages 3-5! The program begins September 24, 2023 and will run through May 5th 2024. We offer 3 sessions: Fall, Winter and Spring. Parents are welcome to register for 1 or all 3! Sunday school takes place in the parish atrium on Sundays during the 11:30AM Mass.
We are blessed to have a catechist trained in the Catechesis of the Good Shepard - a Montessori based catechetical program that helps children learn about their faith through hands on learning activities.
Interested families are invited to attend our Open House on Sunday, Sept 10, 2023 during the 11:30AM Mass!

PROGRAM: Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)
CLOW is for children in grades 1-4 and runs during the 9:30AM Masses on the 2nd and 4th Sunday's of each month and during every 11:30AM Sunday Mass (except holidays) .

Information
Children attend Mass with their parents and just before the Liturgy of the Word begins children and facilitators are called forward for a blessing and they are sent into a classroom to explore the readings on their level. Children are with a facilitator for approximately 20 minutes and then return to their family pew
for the remainder of Mass. Each week participants receive a flier for take home use to discuss the readings as a family.

PROGRAM: Kid's Day Out
Every year our parish runs 2-4 “Kids Day Out” events. These events are geared for children ages 3-6 and parents are welcome to attend or drop off their children. Each event includes crafts, snacks and a faith-based lesson.
Themes may include: Lent, St. Patrick’s Day, All Saint’s Day, Thanksgiving, Advent

PROGRAM: Vacation Bible School
Our parish runs a Vacation Bible School in July. The program is for youth ages 3-9. Our dates
for 2023 are July 10-13. Save the date! More information and registration details to come soon!
