A Cord of Three: Married and Engaged Couples Group

April 25, 2023: We have a new ministry starting here at SPH! It is called A Cord of Three: Married and Engaged Couples Group. Like all vocations, the vocation of married life takes ongoing work and effort. We shouldn’t have to do this alone, especially since our faith community is here to help us. This led our Director of Music and Liturgy, Ricky Cicco, and his wife Kylie, to start this group in June 2023; registration is now open!  

Here is our mission for this new ministry: To empower married and engaged couples to strive for oneness with the Lord and each other, to offer community among couples that need support from people like them, to use scripture/our faith/the church/etc to lift us up and push through the valleys and be thankful in the hills, and to make the choice daily to lead each other to heaven.  

So, what is this group all about? While it has many goals, one is to simply have a place of fellowship. We want this to be like a date night away from the kids, work, and the stresses of life, allowing you to relax and socialize. We will always share a meal together, maybe a drink or two, and chat/get to know one another. 

Then, we have several things planned; mini-workshops, guest speakers, book studies, bible studies, and more. One of the best parts of this group is that we want you to decide what we cover, learn, share, etc. Registration is open on our website and if you register, you will get a brief survey emailed to you. This will be the opportunity to choose what we do next.   Our group will meet the third Friday of every month starting in June 2023 in the Crites Room of the Holy Family Center 6PM-8PM. Childcare and dinner are provided.
