Now Accepting Applications For Summer Missionary Team Volunteers
We are currently accepting applications for the 2020 SPH Youth Ministry Summer Retreat: Here I Am. The retreat will be held July 6-11, 2020. 

 

Application and Event Information: 

 

  • The submission deadline for this application and completed and letters of recommendation is March 1, 2020.

  • The dates required for the missionary team to be present are July 6 - 11, 2020.

  • All openings for the Missionary Team are unpaid volunteer roles for the SPH Summer Retreat. 

  • Applicants must be 18 years or older and out of high school.

  • Two letters of recommendation will be required (more information within application).

  • The Department of Youth Ministry will evaluate all applications based on the quality of application, letters of recommendation, interview, and fit for this particular event. 

  • An interview with The Department of Youth Ministry will follow at a later date after submission of this application and reception of the letters of recommendation.

 

Desired Qualities of Applicants: Prayerful in action and attitude, comfort with initiating conversation with teenagers without prompting, open mindedness, patience in the midst of stress, excellent communication, leadership through personal initiative, openness to direction and critical thinking, accepting of getting and staying dirty, general desire to help others in their relationship with Jesus, etc.

 

Roles and Responsibilities of Selected Applicants: Participate in daily morning and evening prayer, daily meetings, environment set up, serving food, etc. Leadership of small group discussions, team building exercises, games and skits, etc. Leadership by example through interacting with talks, participating in activities, being visible during prayer experiences, etc.

  3. Within the online application supply The Department of Youth Ministry with the names and email addresses of those you desire to be references.

  4. Submit the online application

  5. The Department of Youth Ministry will then contact applicants to set up an interview either in person or via video.
