SCHOLARSHIPS / EDCHOICE

Scholarships & Eligibility

Active Parishioner Scholarship: This scholarship is available to any family that is a registered member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish whose child(ren) is in kindergarten through eighth grade. This scholarship is evaluated on a quarterly basis, and is awarded from St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish. The requirements are:

  • The SPH Scholarship Application Form completed

  • The St. Patrick of Hetherdowns Active Parishioner Pledge completed

  • Be a registered Catholic parishioner

  • Pay the expected tuition and fees

  • Attend weekend Catholic Mass

  • Be involved in Parish community life

SPH Endownment Scholarship: This scholarship is available to Active Parishioners of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish whose child(ren) is in kindergarten through eighth grade. The scholarship is based on income and financial need, is valid for one school year and is awarded from St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish. The requirements are:

  • The SPH Scholarship Application Form completed

  • Been awarded the Active Parishioner Scholarship

  • Completing the on-line application from Facts Management at www.factstuitionaid.com. There is a $30.00 fee at the time of submission of this application to FACTS Grant and Aid.

One Faith Many Blessings: This scholarship is available to any family whose child(ren) is in kindergarten through eighth grade at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns School. This scholarship is based on income and financial need, is valid for one school year and is awarded from St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Parish. The requirements for this scholarship are:

  • The SPH Scholarship Application Form completed

  • The Active Parishioner or Non-Parishioner Pledge completed

  • Volunteer your services in the life of the school and/or parish

  • Completing the on-line application from Facts Management at www.factstuitionaid.com. There is a $30.00 fee at the time of submission of this application to FACTS Grant and Aid.

Northwest Ohio Scholarship: This scholarship is available to any family whose child(ren) is in kindergarten through eighth grade. This scholarship is awarded from the Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund. It is based on income and is chosen by lottery. Award amounts are based on family size and income with a maximum of $1,500 per student awarded. This is a renewable scholarship. If you are awarded this scholarship, income information is re-evaluated each year and the scholarship amount may be adjusted. You may find the necessary paperwork for this scholarship online at www.nosf.org.

 

EdChoice Scholarship: The EdChoice Expansion Scholarship which benefits low-income families has doubled in state funding and is available now to students in grades K-12 regardless of where they currently attend school. For example, a family of four that has an income of $51,500 or less is eligible for the scholarship, even if that student currently attends a Catholic school. The Traditional EdChoice Scholarship benefits students currently enrolled in a designated (or failing) public school. There is now at least one designated public school building in each of the 19 counties in the Diocese of Toledo; many counties have numerous buildings on this list. Now, thousands of new families have an opportunity to choose a Catholic education via a state scholarship. Check these links to learn more:

Ohio Expansion Scholarship: This scholarship is available to any family whose child(ren) is in kindergarten through fifth grade who meets financial qualifications from the State of Ohio. This scholarship is based on income and families do not need to live within the TPS district. The scholarship information may be found on-line at http://ode.state.oh.us or in the school office. This is a renewable scholarship as long as the family remains within the income guidelines set by the State of Ohio. Families must submit required forms each year.
