Over the summer St. Pat’s leadership made changes to our parish’s youth ministry efforts. Those changes were made with the goal in mind of concentrating middle and high school youth group experiences onto a single night of the week, and with the hope that we would be able to execute this goal with current public health needs diminishing. However after careful consideration, St. Pat’s will do it’s best to continue developing relationships with the youth of our parish, but for the time being, not through the way we’ve historically been able to offer.
The goals we developed over the summer, and had hoped to achieve this fall would gather too many individuals into indoor spaces that cannot accommodate the needs of our normal youth group experience. Choosing to proceed with our normal youth group experience would be contrary to what our local government and diocesan leadership is asking of the general public and the parishes of the Diocese of Toledo.
Though we are not yet able to offer our normal youth group experience, we are still going to do our best at providing smaller, grade and interest separated experiences, over the course of scheduled Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. Our calendar begins in late September so that families have time to acclimate to the changes schools are going through; and the calendar ends in late October to accommodate any changes that may need to be made for the rest of the semester and remainder of the school year. Future calendars will be released at a later time.
Families that would like their teens to participate in our youth ministry events are asked to fill out the new online youth ministry registration form that is located on the youth ministry page of the parish website. If families would like their teen to participate in online events the “Authorization To Allow Electronic Communication” form must also be filled out.
Please know of our gratitude for the patience we’ve been shown , and the support we continue to receive.
For thoughts, questions, concerns, or suggestions please don’t hesitate to reach out!

If Lucas county moves into a "Level Four" per the Ohio Public Health Advisory System, all in-person events will be cancelled, and any online options will be appropriately communicated if the need arises. Those attending in-person events are required to bring a mask with them, and when instructed wear masks and practice social distancing. Teens should not attend any in-person events if they are sick themselves, have a sick family member living with them, if families have reason to believe they’ve come into contact with someone who might have been sick, if a teen or teen’s family has participated in a mass gathering, or if they’ve come into contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 and/or is asymptomatic (shows no symptoms). Also note that none of the events detailed on this calendar involve the distribution of meals. Any food that is provided will be prepackaged snacks or desserts.
