DIVORCED AND SEPARATED
Do you find yourself in a place you thought you would never be in? Are you struggling with a separation or divorce after years of marriage? Our Fall session for the Divorced & Separated Support Group will begin on September 11th. We come together to learn about the process of separation, divorce, personal growth, spirituality, and provide support to one another in complete confidentiality. We meet in the Emmaus Room from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday evenings as per the schedule. There are schedules in the Narthex and on our website. For further information, please call Rita at 724-4675 or email rita.hoff@toledostpats.org.
FEED YOUR NEIGHBOR
Reminder Feed Your Neighbor weekend is the 2nd full weekend of every month. Several people have asked me questions like… “Where does the food go?”, “Who receives the food?”, and “What do they use my monetary donation for?”. Some of the food stays here at our own Food Pantry to be used for emergency calls we receive from families within our parish boundaries. The majority of the food is taken down to the Providence Center on Broadway Avenue in South Toledo. The Center distributes the food to 100 families every week. The monetary donations are used by the Aurora Gonzales Center in providing other services and resources to these same families that are receiving the food. So as you can see, all the food and money is going directly to families for an overall balance of needs and we all know how much it takes to provide for a family in these trying times. Thank you so very much for your kindness and generosity to others. Thank you, your donations are all appreciated!
HABITAT
As you are begin to switch out your summer items for those fall items, consider making a donation to the Habitat ReStore. Currently, items in need are appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, and stoves. Other household furniture in need are bed frames, mattresses, and carpets. The ReStore will also accept electronics, hardware, and all types of household furniture pieces. Habitat ReStore is open from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday at 1310 Conant Street in Maumee and 2522 S. Reynolds Road, Toledo.
