The Saint Patrick of Heatherdowns Music Ministry provides Liturgical Music at 800+ Liturgies a year.  There are over 250 children, youth and adults serving in one of the many choirs/ensembles.  Contact Mr. Jack Gerding if you are interested in joining the Music Ministry!

Thanks to generous donors in 2008, St. Patrick's Music Ministry blessed and dedicated a three octave set of Malmark Handbells and a Yamaha Conservatory 7'6" Concert Grand Piano (C7).  In 2001, St. Patrick's blessed and dedicated a 3 Manuel Rodgers Organ.

The Liturgical Choir of St. Patrick is our main parish choir. This group draws on the diverse traditions of a cappella and accompanied sacred music from the Renaissance through the twenty-first century.  The choir sings regularly at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Eucharist and rehearses on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.  The choir is open to all confirmed members of the parish.  No audition is necessary.

FUNERAL CHOIR
The Funeral Choir serves the needs of the parish by providing liturgical music for all Funeral Liturgies in our parish.  Singers must be available during the day, often with little notice.  No audition is necessary.

HANDBELL CHOIR
The Handbell Choir is our newest ensemble at St. Patrick's.  Rehearsals are on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. in the west balcony of the church.

MUSIC MINISTRY FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH

SERAPHIM (Children's Choir)

This group combines the previously known groups: the Cherub Choir and the Choristers.  Grades 1-8 enjoy many great singing experiences as they learn about sound, instruments, and teamwork. This choir prepares music for worship participation for our weekend Masses, Christmas and Easter.  Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 3:15 – 4:00 p.m. in the church.  Members of Jubilate! are encouraged to join this choir.

JUBILATE!

Formerly known as the Choristers.  Grades 5-8 of our parish school make up this choir; emphasis will be spent on voice building, teamwork, social interaction and critical listening.  This group will sing an increased variety of repertoire than the Seraphim Choir.   Rehearsals are during the school day during the students study hall.  Members of this choir are encouraged to join Seraphim, our parish children’s choir.

YOUTH BELL CHOIR

Grades 5-8 of our parish make up this newly formed ensemble.  Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 4:00 - 4:30.

CANTOR GUILD

The Cantor Guild of St. Patrick’s is comprised of 15 trained singers from the parish who lead the people of God in sung prayer.  Auditions are required and monthly rehearsals are mandatory.  Youth and Adults serve in this ministry.
