The ministry model employed at SPH centers around a Parish Core Staff consisting of the Pastor, Associate Pastor, Pastoral Associate, Director of Liturgy & Music, School Principal, Director of Outreach Ministries, Director of Religious Education, Director of Stewardship & Development and a Director of Youth Ministry. A native of Lima, Fr. Walsh was ordained a priest in 1992. He received his bachelor's degree from St. Alphonsus College in Suffield, Conneticut and his divnity degree from Washington Theological Union in Washington, D.C. A native of Cincinnati, Fr. Ed was ordained a priest in 1969. He received his training at the Pontifical College Josephinum and came to SPH as Associate Pastor in July of 2008. You can email Fr. Ed at

Sharon graduated from Lourdes College with a B.A. in Theology. She has been working in the field of ministry for the past 17 years. She has taught K-8th grade in the Family Faith Formation program and has served as a Director of Religious Education. She has been involved with the RCIA and RCIC process, serves as a lector at Mass and has conducted retreats for both children and adults. She has been fortunate to teach and minister in five different diocese throughout the U.S. and in one foreign conuntry.

The Stewardship & Development Office was opened in 2008 and Pam serves as the first director. This office is responsible for The Grapevine, the website, fund-raising events, the Good Steward annual appeal, parish participation in the Diocesan Annual Catholic Appeal, Planned Giving and other fund-raising and communication endeavors. Pam is a military brat and moved to Toledo in 2001 to work for the late Bishop Hoffman. She is married to Ted and they have a son. Chris works with the Family Faith Formation, Sunday Preschool and Special Needs Education programs. She has been coordinating these programs since 2000. Before joining SPH in 2005, Jack ministered at the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation in Carey, OH, and St. Cyprian in Riverview, MI.  In addition to his ministry at SPH, Jack is a member of the Toledo Diocesan Liturgical Commission, Diocesan Organ Committee, Diocesan Music Committee, and is currently serving the office of Secretary for the Toledo Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.  Jack has had the privilege to travel with his choirs and to perform for Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI at St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City.  Jack's direct number at the parish is 419-381-7251 and he can be reached via email at jack.gerding@toledostpats.org.

Rita has been a parishioner at SPH since 1984. She is  married to Doug and is the mother of four boys. Her office provides a multitude of services and she is the perfect person to contact if you are interested in volunteering or need to know where to go for many types of assistance. Nathaniel Addington serves as the Director of Youth Ministry, and leads the various youth groups at the parish. He holds an undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies, from Ashland University, and is currently working on his Masters in Theology.
